The Classroom Environment

THE SILENT TEACHER

At Trust Early Learners, the classroom environment is the Silent Teacher.  Our learning areas are spacious and intentionally designed to create a feeling of familiarity, comfort and excitement. Large windows fill the spaces with natural light and look out onto the world.

Research shows that organizational skills and social competency are two of the greatest predictors of future academic success. Trust Early Learners’ classrooms are highly organized to create opportunities for students to develop organizational skills and engage in meaningful social interactions. On classroom walls, documentation boards, backed in a single dark color, are hung to enhance learning and minimize distractions.

Areas and materials are labeled with words and pictures to make them accessible to all young learners. Classrooms are designed around areas of learning including: the Meeting Area, Blocks & Construction, Dramatic Play, Literacy, Math, and Discovery.
